Radio Hosts Helping Radio Hosts Succeed in Radio Blogging

I know there are a lot of newbie radio show hosts here but I suspect some of you are "old hands" at show hosting.

I'm curious how much combined experience there is here amongst our colleagues.

As I've posted elsewhere, I only have maybe a year and half's experience on terrestrial radio but have about 8 years experience with internet radio.

What about you?

I've hosted my own radio programme, Toward The Light, for 2.5 years now, but have been involved in both print and broadcast media as a professional journalist since the mid 1960s—yes that long! LOL ;)

Most of my work was centred in music and my work in radio had been more 'behind-the-scenes' ... but I've been a guest on a number of radio shows—especially in more recent years. This led to my being encouraged to host my own show ... and one of our members here, Linda Woods in Nashville, Tennessee, was one such soul who encouraged me whilst I lived there. We were both involved with Radio Free Nashville (WRFN LPFM), although I never did a show there.

Now, with my own show and interviewing people, I've taken my natural journalistic abilities and employed them on the air. I'm so grateful for the tremendous feedback I've received as an interviewer/host and I feel so humble as a result.

I'm very honoured to have a show and to reach and touch people all over the world. I will be forever grateful to those who have encouraged me along the way. :)
