I've been broadcasting on KLAY 1180 AM since 1999. Ours is a liberal talk show that tries hard to make politics fun and entertaining. We also research the SNOT out our topics to make double sure we don't lie to our listeners.

Sometimes it's hard to stay on the air because selling ads to local businesses is rough sailin' right now. We have to support each other any way we can. I DO have a vision though. There are quite a few independently-owned radio stations around. I have been pushing the state (Washington) Democrats to have at least one liberal radio show in every county in the state. Vanity radio is about the only way this can be done because the huge corporate radio machine doesn't really like progressive voices because we talk about things they hate such as regulation. So we limp along. This is going to have to be done from the (rock) bottom up. There ARE listeners out there waiting for something else, but they (corps) are only broadcasting right-wingers on big stick stations, AND flanking their "talent". Sad.......
